Just over 24 hours after Paul Stastny & Brian Rafalski played as teammates in Vancouver, they will face off as competitors in Denver. Stastny will lead his Colorado Avalanche against Rafalski’s Detroit Red Wings in a rivalry game tonight.
In a game that pitted two NHL All-Star Teams against each other, nothing less than North American bragging rights was on the line. Matching up on NHL-sized ice for the first time in Olympic Hockey history, Canada & the US fought a frenzied battle for the Group A title.
With a third consecutive W, the Colorado Avalanche will move ½ game up on the Vancouver Canucks in the Northwest.
The Predators are going to be hungry and on home ice in this matchup, and the Avalanche will have to work very hard for any in-goal real estate.
