The Broncos made an expected move today, placing tenders on several big name players, including Brandon Marshall, Elvis Dumervil, Kyle Orton, Chris Kuper and Tony Scheffler.
What’s on the wish list for the Colorado sports fan? I’m not talking the obvious (Stanley Cup, Lombardi Trophy, etc)… looking for real at the state of sports around here, what are some things we should have asked Ol’ St. Nick for? Here’s my list, in no particular order:

It’s now the Chargers division to lose as Denver’s slide continues. With today’s win, the Chargers retake control of the AFC West, and makes it all but impossible for the Broncos to make the playoffs.
Some questions are being answered about the Broncos, and no one in Bronco Nation likes the answers they’re getting. The next few weeks are going to get bumpy here in Bronco Nation.
In a game that was billed as the story of two defenses, it was a special teams play that turned the game around. It was the second kick returned for a touchdown in as many games for Denver.
Josh McDaniels is likely not very surprised with his own mastery of his team. Doubters are certainly many. But the fact is that the Broncos are playoff-worthy at best, competitive versus any opponent at worst.
In May, not a single person in Denver, or the nation for that matter, honestly thought we’d be here. The Rockies are knocking on the door of yet another playoff berth, and the Broncos are sitting atop the AFC West at 3-0.
