Peter Mueller, who suffered a concussion in the final regular season meeting between the Avs and the Sharks, will miss the first 2 games of their first round Stanley Cup playoff series. According to head coach Joe Sacco, Mueller is still progressing in his recovery and “making progress”, but he will not be ready to take the ice in San Jose. He didn’t mentioned a specific timetable, but Avs fans are hoping the recent acquisition will be ready to suit up when the series returns to the Pepsi Center for Game Three.
Avs rookie phenom center Matt Duchene will be ready to play Game 1, and David Jones will miss Game 1 but should be ready for Game 2 on Friday.
