Colorado Avalanche vs Columbus Blue Jackets

Colorado was swept out of the season series with Columbus last season.

The surprising Blue Jackets earned a playoff spot in part because of their dominance of Colorado.  Now the Avalanche have a chance to close out a four-game season sweep over the Jackets in their final game against Columbus this season.

The Blue Jackets will definitely fail to roll over, so the Avalanche will need to do better than stumble through this one.  I say they need a dominant defensive game against a so-so Jackets offense.  Give Craig Anderson half a chance and three goals, and this one should be a win for the Avalanche.

Anything less would be disastrous for a Colorado team that needs to get back on track to keep up in the playoff race.

PREDICTION:  AVALANCHE 3, BLUE JACKETS 1
