Thursday night’s loss to the Minnesota Wild featured two sure-thing goals missed by the Avalanche on a night that Craig Anderson played well enough to stretch his shutout streak. Instead, the Avalanche failed to record a goal for the first time since a December 9th home game against… you guessed it, the Minnesota Wild.
Now the Avalanche travel to Dallas for a one-game road trip. It should be just what the doctor ordered. The Avalanche have scored four goals in each of the teams’ other two meetings this season. We’ll roll with that stat again for tonight, and hope that the Avalanche can put an awful season series versus the Wild (1-5) behind them.
