Fri, Jan 22nd vs Nashville Predators (7:00 MST)
The Western Conference is so tight right now that Nashville lost a game in Phoenix last night and dropped from fourth place to sixth place.  At 61 points on 50 games, the Predators are now three points from being out of the playoff field. That’s a few bad games between the top half of the playoff seeds and the outside looking in.  Tight.
Fresh off of that loss, the Predators will trek wearily into Denver and face a well-rested Avalanche team for the second half of their back-to-back road swing. Â As desperate as the Preds may be for a win, Nashville would need an outstanding performance to knock off the Avs.
Colorado is very much embroiled in the same close race. Â The Avalanche are anything but comfortable at third in the West. Â They have 62 points on 49 games, with Vancouver and Phoenix breathing down their necks in the division and conference respectively. Â The only thing to do is keep winning, and that is just what the Avs will do.
PREDICTION:Â AVALANCHE 4, PREDATORS 2
