I’ll bet noone else noticed the irony.

I’m sure I’m enlightening everyone to a new idea no one even considered.  Do you remember Eric Byrnes?  He’s the guy who said after having lost two games at home that his team wan’t getting outplayed.   Well after losing the next game, and going 0 for 3 in the the game after that he came up to the plate as the last out in the final game of the series, unless of course he gets on base.  He hit a check swing ground ball that Tulow picked up and threw across the diamond to Todd, putting Byrnes our for the final out of the series.   So the same man who said his team was the better team ended up being the weak link that ended the D-Back season.  Come on, your mind is blown isn’t it.  You never would of thought of that could you.

One final note: in game 3 when Eric Byrnes chased a Holliday homerun to the tract and ran into the wall, I couldn’t help but think it was a metaphor for the diamondbacks season.
